Cedars-Sinai has entered an exclusive provider agreement with The Embassy of the State of Qatar in the United States of America (Qatar Embassy), to provide integrated, high-quality healthcare to the Qatari student population in greater Los Angeles.

Some 1,500 Qatari students are enrolled in universities across the U.S. In discussing how best to serve this population, His Excellency Mr. Nasser Ali Al-Saadi, Qatar Medical Attaché, noted that:

  • Qatari students would like a one-stop solution and easy access to high-quality medical care.
  • The Qatar Embassy sought a consolidated referral and billing process.
  • The medical providers need ongoing communication and assistance on Embassy sponsorship provided by embassy sponsors, who coordinate and pay for the healthcare provision for Qataris in the United States, which includes Qatari students.

Cedars-Sinai was honored to host Mr. Al-Saadi last fall to sign the agreement.
