Your score is . Your BMI suggests that you are obese*. A high BMI can put you at risk for chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, and gallbladder disease. Knowing your BMI may help you to make lifestyle changes to lower your BMI as needed. It’s important for you to try to lose weight, get more exercise, eat a nutritious diet, and get enough sleep.
- You are underweight if you weigh pounds and your BMI is less than 18.5.
- You are in good shape if you weigh pounds and your BMI is 18.5 to 24.9.
- You are overweight if you weigh pounds and your BMI is 25 to 29.9.
- You are obese if you weigh pounds and your BMI is 30 or greater. You are morbidly obese if your BMI is over 40.
