Hopeful Future

Karine Sargsyan, MD's Future Intelligence: The World in 2050—Enabling Governments, Innovators, and Businesses to Create a Better Future.

Karine Sargsyan, MD, scientific director of the Cedars-Sinai Cancer Biobank, outlines a road map in Future Intelligence: The World in 2050—Enabling Governments, Innovators, and Businesses to Create a Better Future. With her co-editors Tamás Landesz and Sangeeth Varghese, Sargsyan interviewed diverse experts in healthcare, energy, communication, entertainment, transportation and other sectors.

The book, which arose from Sargsyan's involvement in the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders community, "is like a compass directing us to a future packed with innovation, sustainability and endless possibilities," she remarked.

"I hope readers come away with optimism and an appreciation of our interconnectedness," she said of Future Intelligence, which addresses such vital issues as climate change, technological singularity, consumption, sex and families. "It’s about envisioning a world where our collective efforts lead to brighter tomorrows."
